A merchant problem becomes the mission.
Jeff Metcalfe founds MentomMentom launches in El Segundo to give merchants a stronger voice and build the payments relationship Jeff wished he had as a business owner.
LEADERSHIP
Mentom is led by payments operators who understand that modern technology only matters when it helps merchants and partners move with more confidence.
THE FOUNDING STORY
2020Jeff Metcalfe did not experience payments from a boardroom. He experienced them as a merchant.
A serial entrepreneur born and raised in El Segundo, Jeff knew the friction, poor service, and one-sided relationships that made running a business harder than it needed to be. After repeated experiences with bad actors and poorly operated providers, he decided merchants needed a stronger voice and a better system—one designed to work for them.

WHAT WE’RE BUILT ON
Decisions stay connected to the real work of onboarding, servicing, supporting, and growing payment relationships.
↘Programs are shaped around how a partner wants to sell, serve, earn, and scale—not around a rigid template.
●Connected tools should remove busywork, accelerate qualified opportunities, and make the next step visible.
↘Speed matters. So do responsible decisions, clear ownership, and people who stay engaged after approval.
